Ah, the time... it flies!

It has been - again - so long since I've come here. But last time my reasoning was at least somewhat founded: dA just wouldn't load any of my pics. I have yet to test it on my desktop, but it sure works on my phone. Most of my stuff will be off instagram so the quality won't be as good as it could (or should) be, but alas, I don't have as much time as I used to, let alone to edit things on my laptop.

Be that as it may, I have cleaned up my account A LOT, especially my watchlist and the groups I'm in (I mean, I don't even have a premium membership anymore, I don't know why I was there for years and years while not having a memembership??). I hope this also means that those who are watching me will get watched back (not in a stalker-y way) and I'll get to favorite some art again :D

It has been a long time...

...since I've updated ANYTHING on this wonderful website. It's not only been deviantart that I've been neglecting, but pretty much any blog or website I used to frequent with my artsy stuff. After returning from Japan my focus changed to my studies (not that it helped much lol) and now I'm in search of a job - which is turning out as difficult as anticipated. This, however, gives me time to rekindle my love for art and progress with my plans to have my own website and eventually my own shop :> (my society6 is still in its diapers haha).

I hope you guys have been doing well and I hope I'll be able to check out all the fantastic things you've been making in the meantime öwö

I haven't been online in like...AGES! I had no time in Japan (too busy going to book-offs to buy manga and visiting shrines and temples taking pictures).

I do plan to be active again...prolly when I finally finish all my presentations and get the stuff for uni going so that I can concentrate on other things.... such like the wonderful place that is dA!

If I haven't visited, commented or faved anything of yours in like...forever!...I'm quite sorry and I hope in the following weeks I'll be able to catch up with all your wonderful works >w<

I also plan to upload a looot of photographs from Japan...in due time at least ¦D

~ a little update ~

well, some of you (if any) might have wondered what happened since I'm still not commenting and still not uploading anything.
I certainly have tons of photographs I wanna upload and a huge pile of artworks I'd wish to comment on and put to my favorites.

but well, right now I'm (very happily) in Kyoto, enjoying as much as possible my one year stay in this beautiful spot of the earth. and of course, I'm doing my best to improve my horrible Japanese (and I think after two weeks I'm already sensing some improvement. I'm way less shy to talk to strangers than I thought I'd be and I already made a lot of new friends from all over the world ♥).

anyway, this means that I'm fairly busy and such, and seeing as my subscription will run out rather soon, I wanted to take advantage of the nice gadgets before leaving for a while. I'll try to upload some pics every now and then, but I've procrastinating on my two blogs already, so I guess it'll be even worse here and on animexx. I still keep noticing that the day needs more than 24 hours to do everything I want to do...

but I have to say I love this place. I have a room for myself and a bycicle (which I use quite often, actually) and well... access to more manga than my heart can bear (really. book-offs are probably there to punish me forever. I always have to stop my urge to go there and buy the whole store -  or at least half of it). temples and shrines are around every corner, just standing there for me to discover. sooo, all in all I have to say I couldn't be in a better place *3*~





...btw: the sakura are beautiful here! we have some surrounding our college residence and a lot at uni too, and they're breathtakingly beautiful. there are whole alleays full of cherry blossoms flying around...

JAPAN ~ just a tiny lil bit anxious ~

Sooo. It seems bad luck is just following me around.
First time around I wanted to go to Japan I hadn't the money.
Second time around I was ill in hospital with an unknonw diagnose (which is still unknown, as the doctors still don't know what's in my brain - go figure, crazy me xD).
Third time around they told me I had an as good as bulletproof scholarship. Of course, I didn't get it.
Now, fourth time around, I finally got the money and the spot to go. But my parents are - with good reason - reluctant to let me go in two week's time. As the situation in Japan is still unfolding rather gloomily so does my future prospect of going there this semester. I'm just hoping that it will get better, wishing of course that my friends and their families over there keep safe. My mother argues with me for my recklessly wanting to go there even now, that the situation is so dire. Of course, I will wait and ask around (embassy, university, flight agency, etc...) to see if it is - as far as they can tell - safe to go. Still, I would very much like to go. I'm studying Japanese Studies for nearly five years now and never been to the country itself. I very much keep my fingers crossed to be able to go and that the situation will get better over there >_____<''

Anyways, just in case I would make it to Japan, I will of course have a new adress. I hope some people that I know will visit me (so far, I got about 6 people who will definitely come should I be there, a bunch of others might go, too), and if I know YOU and YOU wanna visit me too, just ask. I'll give you my new adress and as soon as I know if people are allowed to stay over at my place in Kyoto. ~♥

I've got a lot of people asking me whether I'll send them stuff from Japan. I will have my PayPal account open for these cases, so if you set your eyes on something specific I might be able to get it to you (depends on the amount, etc.). If you want to have a postcard, you're welcome to leave your adress with me, I'll write as soon as possible :D

For now nearly all preparations are done. I've already got the most important things - visa and flight ticket - and until further notice I will leave on Sunday, March 27th, arriving the next day. As soon as I get internet, I guess I'll write an update here on dA. I plan on doing a Blog with lots of photographs from my stay in Japan, and I hope I'll have it up and running before going xD A link to it will be posted here, as soon as its done.

Lastly, my thoughts go to all the people suffering in Japan. I hope their fate will turn for the better!
